LET THE GOOD NEWS BE HEARD!

Good News Reflection
Monday in the Octave of Easter
April 21, 2014

Today’s Readings:
Acts 2:14, 22-33
Psalm 16:1-2a, 5, 7-11
Matthew 28:8-15

LET THE GOOD NEWS BE HEARD!

Jesus himself appeared and gave the command: “Go tell my brothers” (Matthew 28:10). Think back to your first encounter with Jesus. Didn’t another person play some part in introducing you to him?

We need share our life graced with the hope and joy of the resurrection. We need to aspire to inspire people to ask us, “Why are you so peaceful? What’s your secret?” Then, as St. Peter said, we can “be ready” to answer these questions with humility and enthusiasm (1 Peter 3:15).

Have you encountered the risen Lord? Then “run,” just as Mary Magdalene did, to tell people about him. The fact that people still deny Jesus’ resurrection, as the chief priests did, shouldn’t scare you. Before he gave his command to Mary Magdalene, Jesus told her, “Do not be afraid” (Matthew 28:10). Let the good news of the empty tomb empower you. Let your own experience of his love give you confidence. You have the light of the gospel within you. Now, go!

Proclaim and Claim His Glory!
By Mary Lorelei Vicedo-Aquino

Jesus has risen and gave us hope, new life and new beginning
We witnessed his journey from birth to his resurrection
Each phrase, each word, each gospel He left us expresses hope, love and faith
To lead us, to guide us, to protect us and to teach us as we grow with Christ Jesus

Each day is a struggle to be better, a journey to improve our life in faith
Open our eyes, our ears and most of all our hearts to mature in our love for Him
Jesus died on the cross to redeem us and give us salvation
He gave us inspiration so we can do our utmost to be with God in Heaven

God has proven His love numerous times without exceptions and limitations
Nothing is impossible to Him even life everlasting, the salvation of our soul
All of us can and will live in peace. All of us can and will be ready for the day
All of us can and will become PRIDE OF GOD!

Raise our voice and proclaim His glory
Let us share our life to our brothers and sisters to aspire and to inspire others
Let us become a living witness of God’s grace and His existence in this world
Let us all hand in hand tell our brothers about Good news of God’s Love

Father, enrich our soul to have a perfected faith, hope and love for you.
Living with great dedication and confidence that You are with us
Believing in the resurrection of dead and the life everlasting
With humility of heart and soul we proclaim your love forever and ever. Amen.

David said about him:
“‘I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest in hope,
because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
you will not let your holy one see decay.
You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.” Act 2:25-28

PRAYER OF THE SOUL

“Lord, we praise you for sharing with us the greatest good news there is: the message of new life now and eternal life with you forever. Give us the courage and zeal to share that message with everyone we meet. “Lord Jesus, may we always live in the joy and hope of the resurrection and never lose sight of its truth for our live. We want to praise you Lord much more than we do, we praise you and give you thanks our God for the wondrous and everlasting love for us. Father we offer everyone we are praying for, those who pray with us and each and every individual who are aspiring to be a better person each day, those who have forgotten to become us. Let your Blood flow into our hearts, our veins, our entire being to pump it us to hope, to trust and to surrender this life and the lives of everyone we hold dear in our hearts, even those who wishes us harm. God rule in our lives and let Your peace reigns forever. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin MAry, all the angels and saints.

Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from It. We beg this grace of You by that most wondrous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify Your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen.”

Praising and Rejoicing today with you..
