Mighty Deeds of God
“Unless your faith is firm,” Isaiah warns, “you shall not be firm!” (Isaiah 7:9). Unless we focus on in him, we’re weak and vulnerable and easily shaken by the struggles we face.
God’s mighty deeds happen every day, especially during difficulties. However, unless we allow these miracles to transform us, deepening our reliance on God, our faith is easily shaken. As Jesus said, we become worse off than the sinful cities of Tyre and Sidon and Sodom, because we have more evidence of God’s goodness than they did.
We’ve all encountered believers who radiate a deep peace—even joy—in the midst of overwhelming difficulties. We reach out to comfort them but end up having our own faith strengthened. Of course, these folks may also have strategies that help them cope, but the bedrock reality is that they are choosing to anchor their lives in the Lord and his faithfulness. When troubles arise, they don’t waste time analyzing whether their fear is reasonable or irrational. Instead, they turn to God and seek his courage, his wisdom, and his guidance.
We can’t always choose how to feel when hard times come, but we can choose whether we will base our lives on God or on our own strength and cleverness. Just as Peter in the boat still faced a stormy sea, we too will face storms. The question is whether we will anchor ourselves in the truth of Christ.
Trust is a choice. Fear tells us to distrust God and trust our own assumptions, which are based on limited evidence. Fear is a feeling, but trust is a decision. God eagerly helps us to make that decision. If we keep our eyes on Jesus, he gives us divine evidence that contradicts any discouraging evidence, although often it comes in ways that are, at first, easy to overlook.
Distrust is a rejection of God’s goodness. The Lord provides the grace we need to pay more attention to his loving interventions.
The best time to practice dropping this kind of anchor is before any storm overwhelms you. Today at least one circumstance will arise that you didn’t foresee. In that moment, stop and look to Jesus. Praise him because you know he is with you. Praise him for this opportunity, knowing that nothing can enter your life without his knowledge. Look to him, and try your best to follow his lead.
Mighty Deeds of God
By Mary Lorelei Vicedo-Aquino
Remain tranquil and do not fear;
let not your courage fail. (Isaiah 7:4)
Take His word and Believe in His love
Take His love and Trust in His will
God Listens, He listens carefully and attentively
He Surrounds our lIves with small and Big miracles
But we have to know Him and Know His voice
We have to remain in Him so He can remain in us
God’s blessings are always upon each one of us
Love is all around us, Hope is here with us
We just have to see them, and believe that God is here
For until we know, we will not notice how great is our God
God sometimes does not provide the exact things we ask for
For He has a grander plan for each one of us
Be patient and trust in His Will
Without a doubt, it is always something special and grand for us
Listen to his voice, accept His presence
Keep our faith and believe in Him
Trust is His great power, power in us to free from ourselves
And Depend on God on everything in our lives
The birds, the flowers, survives battles of life
For God provides for all his creations
He has given us His own Son for our Salvation
Just Believe, have faith and listen
The goodness of the Lord is forever
His love is Eternal and Peace is perpetual
His joy is translucent and His wisdom is Profound
Trust in His Will, In His Wisdom, In His love, in the goodness of our God.
Believe in the Mighty Deeds of God…
God, transform our lives to see you and hear you
Transform our hearts to forgive and understands
Transform our soul to the purity of Your Being
Transform us our God to the Child You wanted us to be
Enrich our hearts, minds and soul
Let our Body follow the will of Your voice
In your command, Thy will be done
In your mercy, our prayers are answered, it is done!!! Amen.
Psalm 37:4-6
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,
and your justice as the noonday.
PRAYER OF THE SOUL
“Lord Jesus, help me set aside reliance on my own resources and ground my hope in your love alone. O Christ Jesus, when all is darkness and we feel our weakness and helplessness, give us the sense of Your presence, Your love, and Your strength. Help us to have perfect trust in Your protecting love and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry us, for, living close to You, we shall see Your hand, Your purpose, Your will through all things. (By St. Ignatius of Loyola, 1491-1556)”
For the complete healing of our physical, spiritual, financial, emotional, mental sickness, Praying for unity among family, for all the hindrances to holiness of man, for the unemployed, for the burdened, depressed ,those who are living with worries, jealousy, pride, conceit and praying for the complete wellness of everyone we are praying for.
We hand over to you our God all of our heart desires. Surrendering to you Will our God. Asking for your mercy in all that we need, we hope for and long for. In Jesus name we pray Jesus King of Mercy we trust in you!
Lord Jesus, there is never a time when we have the right to say, “cannot forgive”. Judgment must be left up to YOU. Our duty is forgiveness. Only when the heart is emptied of human bitterness can it be filled with Divine Grace.
May we greet this day with God’s love & peace in all our hearts. We only pass through this world but once….Any good therefore that we can do….any kindness we can show….let us do it now ….let us not defer it nor neglect it …for we may never pass this way again.
